I’m excited to tell you that the self-titled debut album by my new band Painted Doll (me and my buddy Chris Reifert from Autopsy, Death, Violation Wound, etc.) is out now on Tee Pee Records. Rolling Stone says “This brief, beautifully recorded set drips with a sensuous, and vaguely sinister, aura.” And the legendary Fenriz from Darkthrone calls the album his “favorite of 2018 so far” on the latest episode of his excellent Radio Fenriz show. Not too shabby. You can get vinyl and CD copies here or at your favorite record store. Get the digital version on iTunes or here. If you want a T-shirt, we’ve got those too, right here. And excellent animation above by Mr. McCheese!
Rock,
Dave Hill

Hey. It’s Dave again. As mentioned previously on this popular website, I have a new band with my buddy Chris Reifert (Autopsy, Death, etc.) called Painted Doll. Our self-titled debut album will be out on the awesome Tee Pee Records on February. Get it because it’s a scorcher. You can watch our debut video for the first track on the album, “Together Alone,” directed by Nick Gomez, above. Make all your friends watch it too or my feelings will be hurt.
Rock,
Dave Hill

Hi. It’s Dave again. Recently, I went down into the basement of City Winery in New York and performed a handful of songs by my band Valley Lodge in a rare solo performance with just me and my guitar. I hope you enjoy it so much.
Still street,
Dave Hill

Oh, man, have I gotten horrible at making updates to my popular website. I am going to try and do better. And in keeping with that, I am excited to tell you that the new/4th album by my band Valley Lodge (Our song “Go” is the theme song to Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO. So there) is totally done and coming out soon. You can crank up one of the songs from the album, “Stand,” by clicking on the player above or by going here. Really, it’s your choice. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it so much.
Hugs,
Dave Hill

Oh, man, am I ever getting bad at updating this incredible website. Anyway, I should have written about this a couple months ago, but in case you haven’t heard, I am on the new season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix, three episodes to be exact. My character’s name is Creep and boy is he a real piece of work. Also, he dresses just great. UKS is coming back for another season, so hopefully Creep will be back for more. Fingers crossed!
I am an acting machine,

Hi, it’s Dave again. I’ve just returned from SXSW in scenic Austin, Texas. As part of my invasion, my buddy Phil Costello and I performed our Witch Taint: The Black Metal Dialogues Live! at the Hideout Theatre to a sold out, standing room only crowd. It was super fun and we got a killer review in the Austin Chronicle that you can read right here. More Witch Taint shows coming soon, including New Orleans, Jersey City, and Los Angeles, so keep an eye on my Live page to find out when we’re invading your town.
Dark regards,
Dave Hill

If you like movies, I have some incredible news for you. A great new movie written and directed by Anthony Fisher called Sidewalk Trafficis out now and available on iTunes and pretty much wherever else incredible movies can be found. The movie has such fine folks as Johnny Hopkins, Erin Darke, Tom Shillue, Kurt Loder, Samm Levine, and Heather Matarazzo in it and I am honored to be a part of it. You can see the trailer above. I hope you enjoy Sidewalk Traffic so much.

Here’s something cool. Rough Trade Publishing, the company that handles the musical catalogs of my hot rock bands Valley Lodge and Painted Doll, are releasing a song a day from their artists for 90 days and you can get every song for just $20.17. Included in the mother lode is a new song by Valley Lodge called “Come Back to My Bed” and “Together Alone” by Painted Doll. All profits go to the Southern Poverty Law Center, who are doing some great work during these difficult times. Support a great cause and get some scorching hot jams in the process by clicking here right now.

Hi. It’s me, Dave again, writing to you from sunny London. I hope this note finds you incredible. Anyway, yesterday I had the great pleasure of being a guest on the great Jonathan Ross’ radio show on BBC2 radio here in the UK. Mel C. from the Spice Girls was on too. I saw her in the lobby but was too shy to walk up and say hi. Life, right? Anyway, I had a blast on the show and even got to do my wildly popular “Crime Blotter” segment from The Goddamn Dave Hill Show on the air with Jonathan. You can and should listen to the whole episode right here.
Thanks,
Dave Hill (from before)

Hi. It’s Dave again. My good buddies in Tragedy, an all-metal tribute to the Bee Gees (and beyond!), made a video for their new version of “Stayin’ Alive” and totally asked me to star in the music video for it, which is awesome. You can and should watch it above unless you don’t like stuff that’s awesome. Also, go see Tragedy live because they are the best basically.
