Bieber and Me
Posted on 9th January 2013

Writer/comedian Alex Mann recently started up something delightful called Conversations with a Twitter Feed. Alex asked me to have a conversation with Justin Bieber’s Twitter feed and I totally did it. You can watch it above. Sorry I forgot to take a shower that day.

Episode 57 of Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident with Special Guest Jodi Lennon Is Up Now. Deal with It.
Posted on 2nd January 2013

Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident stumbles with droopy trousers into 2013 as I sit down for some scorching hot discourse with writer/director/performer/documentarian Jodi Lennon (Exit 57, Fooling Around with Casey Jost, Marc Maron: The Voice of Something) on December 22, 2021, the day after the Mayans were supposed to come to town and gut us all or something. I don’t even know. Anyway, Jodi and I talk about that, which member of the Stooges we would bone, the pluses and minuses of hanging out with chimps, which celebrity’s face I should replace mine with, and a lot of other stuff you simply will not want to miss. In addition to all this, we also hear from my secretary Shaina Feinberg, who schools us on Mozart, Ian Ball delivers a Hot Jamz from the great Terry Reid, and I answer questions from you the listener. In short, this one pretty much has everything. You can listen right here. Also, go rate and review my podcast on iTunes so that I might have validation in life.

Episode 55 of Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident with Special Guest Andy Dick Is Up Now! Listen or Else!
Posted on 3rd December 2012

Episode 55 is here with extreme heat as I wander into an apartment on the Lower East Side and hang out with Andy Dick and his assistant/comedy partner Paris Dylan for a no-holds barred conversation that I won’t soon forget no matter how hard I try. This one pretty much has everything and more- ayurvedic cleansing, Simon and Garfunkel singalongs, you name it, including checking in with Shaina Feinberg and Ian Ball’s Hot Jamz. I had to shower immediately afterward. And so should you. You can listen to the whole thing right here. Also, don’t forget to subscribe, rate, and review on iTunes please. That would be so great.

My First Band Sons of Elvis on the Jon Stewart Show
Posted on 26th November 2012

Way back in the ’90s, before I was a world-famous entertainer of the highest order, I was just a regular rock god from Cleveland playing in my first band Sons of Elvis. We made one album for Priority Records before eventually falling prey to processed foods and house paint fumes and eventually breaking up like so many young bands do. Before that happened, though, we were guests on Jon Stewart’s short-lived but awesome Jon Stewart Show along with Sam Elliott, the cast of Stomp! and one other guest whose name time has wrestled from me but whom I remember as being super hot. What I remember most from that day is all the free candy and sandwiches and also barging into Jon Stewart’s dressing room and telling him a really great story about how I had met him once before in a bar for a second, which he listened to graciously, laughing knowingly at all the right parts. You can watch and hear us play the hits above. That’s me on bass. I don’t defend the hair or clothes, though I still have the velvet pants and occasionally dig them out and think “Hmmm, maybe.”

Episode 54 of Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident with Special Guest Kevin Allison Is Up Now! Listen, Dammit!
Posted on 24th November 2012

Episode 54 of Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident is here to smack you in the privates as I sit down with Kevin Allison, whom you no doubt know from the State, Risk!, Stella, and Reno 911 among other sweet stuff, to discuss a lot of the stuff I just mentioned but also- and more importantly- something called kink camp, tickle torture, a lady named Strap-on Joe, and about a million other things that basically require you to listen to this episode five times it’s so incredible. Also, I check in with my secretary Shaina Feinberg, answer questions from listeners, and let Ian Ball take it all home with his Hot Jamz. In short, this episode pretty much has it all. Did I mention Kevin got hit in the nuts with a riding crop? Oh yeah, he talks about that too. You can listen to it all right here.

The Dave Hill Explosion with Special Guests Tig Notaro + Valley Lodge This Thursday, November 29 at UCB Theatre NYC
Posted on 24th November 2012

Happy Thanksgiving. Am I right? Anyway, I just wanted to take a quick break from my community service hours to let you know that this Thursday, November 29 at 9:30pm at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre over there in Chelsea, the heat will be brought in the form of my critically-acclaimed/reasonably priced nightclub act the Dave Hill Explosion. You know, hardly a month goes by when someone doesn’t approach me in the Port Authority men’s room and say “Hey, Dave, sorry for barging in on you like this but are you still doing that show of yours?” I’d like to think they are referring to my Dave Hill Explosion show so I always say yes and this message is proof that I’m not messing around and also there is no amount of loose change that will ever get me to compromise my values or belief system ever again no matter how desperate or lonely I get. Anyway, my show next week is going to be really great and- let’s be honest- kind of dangerous. And I don’t just mean that in the artistic sense- at least half of the things I am planning so far are in clear violation of local fire codes and also the goddamn smell will stick with your clothes for days. I swear to god, the helicopters are already circling my apartment as I type this. As if all of that is not enough, I will be joined next week by special guest, the lovely and talented comedian Tig Notaro, my sweet rock band Valley Lodge, and, of course, my bearded sidekick Phil and winsome henchman Carl Arnheiter. Stick around for the meet and great. You can and should get tickets right here unless you are volunteering for a medical experiment that day or something, which is nuts.

Episode 50 of Dave Hill’s Podasting Incident with Special Guests Tig Notaro and Kyle Dunnigan Is Here So Listen to It Right Now or Else!
Posted on 19th October 2012

That’s right- episode 50 of my incredible podcast is here with guns blazing as I sit down for a record 4th time with my dear friend, comedian, writer, actress, and musician Tig Notaro to discuss her uneventful life, her new album “Live” (which I’m told is about dating and shopping mostly), and the new rock band we are totally forming. At one point, Tig’s writing partner, comedian, and musician Kyle Dunnigan wanders in and things getting even crazier. He is in our band too. As if all of that is not enough, my secretary Shaina Feinberg checks in and Ian Ball delivers his Hot Jamz as usual like a mofo. Also, you can hear the song I wrote for my favorite magazine for teenage girl’s, Rookie. Listen to the whole thing right here. Okay, great, thanks.

Thanks,
Dave Hill
