Recently I sat down in a chair for an extended period of time and did an important interview with the Good Men Project. You can read the whole thing right here. I answer a lot of tough questions.
Thanks,
Dave Hill

Hello. Have you ever wanted to render basically all of your food accursed, blind your enemy with the unholiest of habaneros, or simply add a little extra kick to a piece of fish or something? Witch Taint Hell Sauce can help. Thanks a deal I have made with Satan and also an independent hot sauce manufacturer, Witch Taint Hell Sauce is a reality. Get yours right here.
Dark regards,
Dave Hill

I am honored, excited, and pants-pissingly nervous to announce that on January 7, 2014, I will be taking over the 9pm-midnight slot on WFMU radio, which, for the past thirteen years, has been home to the great Tom Scharpling‘s awesome Best Show on WFMU program. Like so many people, I’m very sad to see the aptly named Best Show end. But I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to create what will hopefully be a fun and entertaining new show that will not give too many people cause to hunt me down and beat me with rocks, sticks, and other assorted objects, blunt, sharp, and otherwise. You can read more about things here and here. And I hope you will join my sister in tuning in on January 7.
Thanks,
Dave Hill

Recently Cleveland’s Scene Magazine asked me to write something of great importance for them for their comedy issue so I wrote some good advice on how to attend a wake. I hope you enjoy it so much. You can read it here. Please tell the others.
Your man,
Dave Hill

One of my favorite things that has ever happened ever is when the great King Diamond appeared on the Joe Franklin Show in 1987. Joe Franklin is one of my favorite humans and- I’m proud to say- a personal friend. And while I hope to one day be personal friends with King Diamond, I’m pretty crazy about him, too. The odds of King Diamond or anyone even remotely like him appearing on an American TV talk show today aren’t very good at all, but 1987 was a magical year and somehow it happened. It’s a delight to watch King Diamond and Joe Franklin talk. They are both perfect gentlemen and I really believe Joe when he says he is a big King Diamond fan toward the end. No mention of Satan somehow, though, but you can’t have everything. Also, one of the other guests is a “rapping cop,” which is great for everybody. Anyway, watch it now and have an even better day than you might have already been having.
Don’t break the oath,
Dave Hill

Sexy mofo that I am, it’s not uncommon for people to ask me for advice when it comes to romance and boning and stuff. Recently, the popular romance and boning website Nerve did that very thing. You can read what I told them here. It will change you, you know, down there.
Happy Friday,
Dave Hill

A few weeks ago, I got on a plane all by myself and flew to St. Paul, Minnesota to appear on the popular public radio program Wits for a personal record setting second time. I appeared on the show with NFL punter/author Chris Kluwe and lovely songstress Sara Watkins. It is the best episode of the show ever as far as I am concerned and if you don’t agree with me then, well, we’ve got trouble. You can listen to the whole thing right here. It pretty much has everything. I hope you enjoy it so much.
Yours in show business,
Dave Hill

Hi. It’s Dave again. From before. I just wanted to write a quick note to tell you two important things. First, the popular website Hello Giggles did a nice writeup of my book Tasteful Nudes as their “Item of the Day” yesterday and I’m really happy about it. You can read it right here.
In other important news, there’s a great writeup about my friends Tim and Brent’s guitar store Guitar Riot in Cleveland in yesterday’s Cleveland Plain Dealer. If you are into hot axes and amps and stuff, their store is the best.
Still street,
Dave Hill

Hi. It’s Dave. Let me start by saying I feel shameless telling you this, but I am now selling hardcover copies of my book Tasteful Nudes that I will personally sign from me to you, including a long, detailed note outlining our sordid past, undying admiration, and a lot of other stuff I will become convinced of as the permanent marker fumes begin to work their magic. As if all of that is not enough, I will then take this personally signed hardcover copy of my book and mail it myself at the post office near my house. I know- just let that sink in for a second. Of course, normally when someone buys something from my online store, it is pulled from the shelves in some vast warehouse thousands of miles away from my home, stuffed into a mailer by someone I’ll never meet, and shipped off to you by some goddamn machine! But these books- what with me having to sign them all- will each be handled by me, regardless of what I was doing immediately beforehand. In short, this is a rare treat that I’m sure your immune system can handle just fine. You can get your book here. Go on now- do it!
Love,
Dave Hill

Yes, you read correctly. Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident is back for a record-setting second week in a row with Episode 79, what critics are already calling maybe the greatest episode ever, I bet. This time around, I sit down with author, accordionist, and so much more Daniel Handler, whom you no doubt know from his Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events book series, his new All the Wrong Questions ongoing collection, his unstoppable accordion work with Magnetic Fields, and a bunch of other awesome stuff besides the stuff I just mentioned. Strap yourself in for an incredible thrill ride as Daniel and I discuss topics including but not limited to how many keys powerful people have on their person, what Top Chef Masters host Curtis Stone is really like, Comic Con, restaurants that need to get the fuck over themselves, architecture, and about 500 other things that most people can’t even handle. As if all of that is not enough, I also play a couple new Valley Lodge hot tracks, answer important listener questions, check in with Shaina Feinberg, and hand the baton off to the great Ian Ball so he may once again blow your mind with his hot Hot Jamz. You can hear the whole thing right here. I hope you enjoy it so much. Oh, and if you haven’t had a chance to check out episode 78 with the great Mike Bocchetti, you can do that right here. Have a great day.
Stay street,
Dave Hill
