Recently, my band Valley Lodge and I put on another variety show- Meet Me in the Bathroom and Tell Me All Your Secrets, we call it- over there at the Bell House in Brooklyn. As part of it, I did a live reading of my world-famous/infamous “Erotic Short Stories” with the band backing me up for extra heat. You can watch the video above. It’s a little quiet at first, but the sound is clear from the 28-second mark on, which is when it counts. Also, just a heads up in case you are at work right now- this video is probably not safe for viewing there in the event that getting super horny at your desk is frowned upon or anything.
Happy Monday,
Dave Hill

Thanks to the magic of the Internet, you can now stream this past Tuesday’s Goddamn Dave Hill Show with comedian Seth Herzog and musician John Herguth aka Kitten aka Dark Mirrors, who performs live in studio and even lets me rip a sweet solo while he’s at it. I also discuss the death of Robin Williams, mental health, and other fun topics. Listen to the whole thing right here.

This past Tuesday, which is to say August 5, 2014 for all you calendar buffs, I had the pleasure of having the legendary Dick Cavett, David Johansen (New York Dolls, Buster Poindexter), and Big Gay Ice Cream co-founder Doug Quint all on the same episode of the Goddamn Dave Hill Show on WFMU radio. As if all of that isn’t crazy enough, Doug brought his dog Buster with him and, man, that shit was nuts. Oh, and there are plenty of hot jams sprinkled throughout. You can listen to the whole thing right here. Oh, and feel free to subscribe to the podcast version on iTunes right here. That would be so great.

Hi. Mondays- am I right? Anyway, recently I appeared on comedian Greg Barris’ “Unbunned” show at Union Hall and I got a tape of my set and everything. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to watch me tell my humor jokes in a basement in Brooklyn, you can get a taste of things by watching the video above. That’s Roger Hailes shaking my hand at the beginning of the set. He’s a handsome, handsome man.
Thanks,
Dave Hill

Because I am a hip and happening young person, I was recently asked to appear on an episode of MTV’s Like the Show, which is hosted by Morgan Evans, another hip and happening young person like me. I had just woken up and showered, which is why I am so coy and dewy. We talk about Orange Is the New Black and shark attacks as well as some other topics relevant to America. I hope you enjoy it so much.
Word up,

I wrote something for the Talkhouse, the popular music website, about what I accurately believe to be the greatest summer jam of all-time, “Burnin’ for You” by Blue Öyster Cult, one of the greatest bands of all-time and I am right about everything. You can read the whole thing right here.
Thanks,

Coming soon to an Internet portal near you is Metal Grasshopper, the incredible web series in which I get schooled in the ways of metal by Philip H. Anselmo, my friend and legendary singer from Down, Pantera, Superjoint Ritual, and a bunch of other bands besides those. The Times-Picayune, the paper of record in New Orleans, did a nice preview of it here. We rented a goat. How cool is that?

Hello and happy Monday. Recently, I sat down with my peers Malcolm Gladwell and Dick Cavett to discuss the ongoing Amazon-Hachette dispute on TOUGHTalk, a completely made up talk show where a lot of really tough issues are tackled and given a stern talking to. You can watch the incredible video above. It pretty much has everything.

If you like listening to excellent podcasts, I have some incredible news for you: I am on the latest episode of Pete Holmes’ popular You Made It Weirdpodcast. I taped it at Pete’s secret podcast headquarters last time I was in Los Angeles, Home of the Stars, and it was super fun and after that I went and did some cool Hollywood stuff. You can and should listen to the whole thing right here. I hope you enjoy it so much.
You are the best,

I meant to post this sooner, but Michael Cavadias, John Early, Jemima Kirke and I made this video to promote this show we’re doing tonight at the Ace Hotel with Cole Escola and Kate Berlant. It’s gonna be the best. I hope you enjoy the video so much.
