Edinburgh Detox + Immortal Does It Again
Posted on 5th September 2010

It’s Sunday and I have been home from Edinburgh, the town I spent seven years in last month, for roughly five days or so. I had a lovely time in Edinburgh, but I am glad to be back home slowly letting the fog lift and figuring out what’s next for me, Dave Hill, president of Dave Hill Enterprises International and also the sassiest man in North America. I am also considering replacing all my old underwear with a fresh team that can face the challenges of being wrapped around my nether regions all day. I’ve had a nice run with the current crop, but it might be time to move on. In retrospect, I should have burned all my underwear in Scotland with half of my face painted and screaming something or another about freedom. After that, I could just go to a department store or something and load up on new underwear. Speaking of which, most of the underwear I saw in Scotland seemed to be of the novelty variety and looked a little too tight on the general nut region. Not for me as of this writing. Things could change though. I will keep you posted on this and other topics in the very near future.

In addition to the above, I have been trying to recover from my time in Edinburgh by not drinking anything and running around a lot trying to sweat out all the stuff I drank while I was over there. Once it’s all sweated out, I will most likely replenish it by drinking a bunch of stuff over here. But right now I am enjoying mostly eating ice cream and stuff. Last night I went out for pizza and spaghetti. No one in the restaurant could believe I ordered both and I almost ended up on the news. Everyone agreed I was the best at eating pizza and spaghetti at the same time.

In other news, the other day I had the delight of seeing the new video by the Norwegian Black Metal band for their song “All Shall Fall.” It pretty much has everything. The band is on top of a snowy mountain wearing corpse paint and then rocking out like mofos. If you are thinking about making a music video, you should probably watch this one first because they have pretty much nailed it and it would be pretty hard to make a music video this good even if you climbed up to an even bigger and more satanic mountaintop. Also, I’m guessing they had to rent a helicopter to make this video. If you are going to make a video, renting a helicopter is usually a pretty good place to start. Also, you should play Norwegian Black Metal. Between those two things, you will definitely be well on your way to having a seriously good music video, just like Immortal only not as good.

Okay, that about covers it for now. I guess I will go 600 crunches now or something.

Love,
Dave Hill
