Attention People of New York City:
This is your man Dave Hill writing to let you know that this Saturday, August 8, my rock band Valley Lodge will be breaking out the hot rock action at the Bell House in Brooklyn as we open up for Harvey Danger, the popular Seattle-based rock band whom you may know from their hit song “Flagpole Sitta,” as they play their last ever New York show on their farewell show. And while they are packing it in in style, we will be playing our first New York show since dominating the Far East, where we are considered geniuses, on our Japanese tour and also being the house band for incredible Triumph the Insult Comic Dog at Bonnaroo, which takes place in Tennessee. I guess what I am trying to say is that this will be our first stateside show that does not involve hand puppets in a very long while. I will miss the hand puppets and also the Japanese fans, but I will dry my tears by just, you know, rocking out like a motherf@#ker or something. You don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine, just fine! And as if all of that is not enough, the rock band Jukebox the Ghost will also be rocking as part of the show. If you like going to some place and hearing a bunch of rock music with other people who are into that sort of thing, I honestly can’t recommend this show enough as it totally has all that stuff. After the show, we can hang out at the bar and talk about our interests as well as things that have been going on in the news. You seem nice. You can get tickets to the show right here, you know, if you want. And if you want to make sure my band doesn’t suck or anything, feel free to get your ass handed to you by checking out some of our rock jamz right here.
Love,
Dave Hill
