I used to try this in college all the time. After a while, they just stopped letting me into the women’s dorms altogether.

Law and Order: BFD
Posted on 5th May 2009

Law And Order: BFD from This American Life on Vimeo.

How about this rain? I just can’t shut up about it. First the swine flu (plagues), now all this rain (floods). I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- if I see even one locust in the next few days, I am going to jump off a building.

Anyway, above is a video I made with my friends David Rakoff and Miles Kahn for the “This American Life- Live!” show that happened a couple weeks ago. As showbiz sometimes goes, the video ended up being cut from the actual live show but now lives on through the magic and majest of the Internet. It also features the great Jackie Hoffman and the great Laura Krafft. I hope you enjoy it. Stay tuned for my wacky stories from the set.

Rachel Dratch and Me in an Elevator + Other Stuff
Posted on 4th May 2009

Mondays? Do not even get me started on this topic. Anyway, above is a video of me and the lovely and talented Rachel Dratch riding in the New York Magazine elevator together. I hope you enjoy it a whole bunch.
semester
Here are a couple other quick things. First, an interview with me about my futuristic Smiths/speed dating night done by my friend Corn Mo. All your questions are answered here. Also, here is yet another delightful review of my rock band Valley Lodge’s new rock album “Semester at Sea” (available now on iTunes in case I haven’t mentioned it a million times).
bun
In other news, I met Bun E. Carlos from Cheap Trick yesterday and didn’t get a picture with him I am kind of kicking myself. He is the man. I was out at the Bamboozle Festival interviewing bands for a large corporate entity and Bun E. was there with Tinted Windows, his new power pop project with James Iha, Adam Schlesinger, and Taylor Hanson. Tinted Windows sounds really great and they have one of the greatest drummers from one of the greatest bands of all-time with them. Nice.

And finally, here is a great video featuring three awesome songs by three great glam rock bands- Sweet, Slade, and T. Rex. I want to have the feeling that watching this gives me all the time. Maybe you will feel the same.
