Episode 50 of Dave Hill’s Podasting Incident with Special Guests Tig Notaro and Kyle Dunnigan Is Here So Listen to It Right Now or Else!
Posted on 19th October 2012

tk
That’s right- episode 50 of my incredible podcast is here with guns blazing as I sit down for a record 4th time with my dear friend, comedian, writer, actress, and musician Tig Notaro to discuss her uneventful life, her new album “Live” (which I’m told is about dating and shopping mostly), and the new rock band we are totally forming. At one point, Tig’s writing partner, comedian, and musician Kyle Dunnigan wanders in and things getting even crazier. He is in our band too. As if all of that is not enough, my secretary Shaina Feinberg checks in and Ian Ball delivers his Hot Jamz as usual like a mofo. Also, you can hear the song I wrote for my favorite magazine for teenage girl’s, Rookie. Listen to the whole thing right here. Okay, great, thanks.

Thanks,
Dave Hill

I Wrote a New Theme Song for Rookie Magazine + New Andy Shernoff Video I’m In
Posted on 16th October 2012

rookie
A while back, I had a dream that I wrote a song called “Life Is Mean When You’re 17” for Rookie Magazine, my favorite magazine for teenage girls (and me). Recently, they asked me to actually write them a theme song in real life, so I decided to go ahead and write the song I dreamed about (though I ended up tweaking the title slightly in the end). You can listen to it here. It’s super primitively recorded on my computer, but hopefully the spirit will carry you through the rough recording quality.

In other news, recently I was honored to be asked by Andy Shernoff from the Dictators to appear in his video for his awesome and hilarious new song “Let’s Get the Band Back Together.” It’s an honor to work with people I have admired for a long, long time, so this was a real treat for me. You can watch it above. I hope you enjoy the hell out of it.

The Black Metal Dialogues Site Is Back Up, Which Is Great for Everybody
Posted on 13th October 2012

wt
Hi. Recently, it was brought to my attention that my Black Metal Dialogues site, the one all about my legendary band Witch Taint, was totally down. Well, now, thanks to modern technology and also me spending 900 hours on the phone with customer service, the site is back up and the world is a better place. You can see for yourself here.

An Important Review of the Morrissey Show at Radio City Music Hall
Posted on 13th October 2012

Earlier this week, I saw Morrissey at Radio City Music Hall and it was awesome. I wrote a dumb review of the show for Brooklyn Vegan that you can read right here. People really hate it, which amuses/torments me endlessly. I hope you enjoy it.

Dave Hill: Swing Voter
Posted on 9th October 2012

Recently, I joined forces with the official Official Comedy YouTube channel to launch a series called “Dave Hill: Swing Voter.” Since I’m from Ohio and all (a swing state!), the idea is that I’m gonna go out there and find out exactly what’s going on in the lead-up to this year’s presidential election so I can better informed as to exactly whom I should vote for. A few videos into things, this is already shaping up to be one of the greatest web series of all-time. You can tune in here now and often. And watch my exciting trailer video for the whole thing above.

Doing my part,

The Time I Grossed Out Rob Halford
Posted on 9th October 2012

Hi. It’s Dave again. Recently, I sat down and told a story for Vulture and UCB Comedy’s new animated series “Pop Culture Memory Lane.” My story is about the time I ended up taking a crap next to one of my heroes, Rob Halford from Judas Priest. They animated it so beautifully I’m almost not embarrassed by the story anymore. I hope you enjoy it so much.
