Episode 17 of Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident with Special Guest Joe Randazzo, Editor of the Onion, Is Here!
Posted on 28th November 2010

Thanks to the magic of the Internet (and also my basic understanding of home recording equipment), the 17th episode of Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident is here for your listening pleasure. This time around, I sit down with close personal friend and Onion editor Joe Randazzo to discuss topics including but not limited to using underwear and/or socks as rags, memory loss, high-end refrigerators, Whiskey Friday, how New York City has crappy Mexican food, simple math equations, and, of course, the Onion. Apologies for not doing the best job recording the interview (there’s some buzzing and stuff). I was hammered. Anyway, you can and should listen to the whole thing right here.

Diamondsnake Hot Rock Video for “Woman, Yeah”
Posted on 21st November 2010

Last week, my fellow Diamondsnake rock band members and I teamed up with the ladies of Rhinestone Zipper and made this hot rock video for the hot Diamondsnake rock song “Woman, Yeah.” Moby shot, directed, and edited this video and also took care of all the elaborate catering we had at the shoot. I hope you like this video so much. It pretty much has everything.

Diamondsnake Rocking You, Others Dec. 4 at Mercury Lounge
Posted on 16th November 2010

Hi there. As many of you who have been following my career from the beginning are well aware, in addition to my show business exploits, I am also a rock machine. Keeping that in mind, I would like to inform you that on Saturday, December 4 at 10:30pm at the Mercury Lounge, Diamondsnake, my rock entity with my friends Phil Costello, Moby, and Tomato, will be rocking you like a storm system characterized by a large low-pressure center and numerous thunderstorms that produce strong winds and heavy rain. You should probably bring a change of pants and also some form of birth control and proof of health insurance too maybe. You can never be too careful. Also, the great rock band Bambi will be playing right before us, setting the stage for the hot rock that we will be kicking out like an atmospheric discharge of electricity accompanied by thunder, which typically occurs during thunderstorms, and sometimes during volcanic eruptions or dust storms. In short, it’s going to be an incredible night of rock music happening right here in New York City. Please come or you will be hunted down and made to feel bad about many of your life choices and also probably whatever outfit you have on at that time. Also, if you do not attend, you will in no way be eligible for the lobster giveaway. You can get more information on a lot of the stuff I just mentioned right here.

Thank you,
Dave Hill

A Very Special Weather on the 1s
Posted on 9th November 2010

Last week, as part of my ongoing quest to bring world-class entertainment to the people, I staged a little something called Dave Hill’s Rock Shop over there at the Rock Shop in Park Slope. It was a raucous and shambolic night of incredibleness featuring appearances by me, Michael Showalter, Little Michael Jackson, Doug Gillard, and- last but not least- the greatest news anchor of all-time, NY1’s Pat Kiernan. As a special surprise to Pat, Doug worked up versions of all the NY1 news theme songs on guitar and Pat whipped up a weather report right on the spot. In short, it was pure magic. This town! Am I right or am I right? I hope you enjoy it so much.

Song for Today
Posted on 3rd November 2010

As part of each day, in addition to all my medical experiments, I like to rock out as much as possible. This is the song I made up for today on my bass. It is about birds mostly. And it’s pretty low key since I just woke up. You gotta ease into things sometimes, like the day for example. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it so much.

Dave Hill’s Rock Shop TOMORROW at the Rock Shop in Brooklyn
Posted on 2nd November 2010

Attention People of New York City:

Do you like good times all the time? Oh great, then you are really going to like what I am about to tell you. Tomorrow, which is to say Wednesday, November 3 at 8pm, I am going to be putting on something called Dave Hill’s Rock Shop at the Rock Shop, a rock-n-roll club in Park Slope, Brooklyn. As hinted at in the name, I am taking over this rock-n-roll club for one evening and putting on a funtime show that will feature such excellent people as Michael Showalter, Doug Gillard (Guided by Voices, Nada Surk), and Pat Kiernan, whom you no doubt know as the greatest NY1 newsman of all-time. There will be comedy, guitar shredding, hardhitting interviews, maybe a game or something, and then some other stuff too. To be honest, I am still figuring a few things out. For example, I was going to ask if they would let me DJ for the night before and after whatever happens on stage. Also, there might be snacks. Needless to say, it is all going to be very, very incredible. Brace yourself. You can get the full scoop, which is to say all the information you need and stuff, right here.

Love,
Dave Hill
