26th
Sep

Yesterday, I walked over to the offices of the Huffington Post here in New York City all by myself to be a guest on HuffPost Live’s Midweek Cocktail Chatter with Josh Zepps, a show on which we discussed important matters of the day and then a couple of things that I knew stuff about, too. You can watch the whole thing above. My hair looks really great.

It’s Dave again writing to let you know that the fine folks over at Blue Collar Distro have got Witch Taint and Dangerous Snakes Who Hate Bullshit (i.e. the two most popular shirts in the Dave Hill store- even more popular than the ones with my face on them! No way!) back in stock in all sizes in keeping with global demand. Ditto with the hoodies. Earlier today, I made an important post here about how my rock band Valley Lodge appeared on the Artie Lange Show. Now you can watch us play the hits “Sweet Elizabeth” and “Go” above. We nailed it. Mostly. Oh, and then we talk to Artie and Jon. You can watch that, too!

Valley Lodge and Me, Dave Hill, on the Artie Lange Show
19th
Sep

Last night, my band Valley Lodge and I had the pleasure of appearing on the excellent Artie Lange Show. I sat down and talked with Artie and his co-host Jon Ritchie about various important topics and then later in the show Valley Lodge played a couple songs and then chatted with Artie and Jon about rocking and whatnot. In short, it was a triumph of both radio and television. You can check it out here and also watch it on Direct TV. I hope you like it so much.

Stay street,

I Am on AdultSwim.com’s Think Talk. Deal with It.
17th
Sep

A while back, I went over to the secret New York office’s of Adultswim.com, the Internet portal of Adult Swim (as hinted at in the name) to sit down for one of the Think Tank sessions where they ask questions of great importance with people like me and other really, really big celebrities. It was really fun and I think you’ll really learn a lot from it. You can watch it repeatedly above (or if that doesn’t work, just go here. Also, I did my own hair that day and I really think people took a notice.

Episode 77 of Dave Hill’s Podcasting Incident with Extra Special Guest Nadia Dajani Is Up Now!
17th
Sep

nd
After a mysterious and inexplicably long summer hiatus, Dave Hill’s Podcasting Including is back like a mofo with Episode 77. Have a change of pants at the ready as I sit down with actress Nadia Dajani (Caught Off Base, Delocated, Sex and the City, the West Wing, King of Queens, and much, much more) and discuss topics including but not limited to cronuts, staying at baseball’s Ron Guidry’s house, the importance of manners and punctuality, Hollywood a-holes, her excellent baseball-based web series Caught Off Base, that nutjob Jose Canseco, Todd Barry, and about 500 other things most people cant’ handle. I also answer important listener questions and check in with my secretary Shaina Feinberg. And, of course, Ian Ball delivers the Hot Jamz from London and it’s completely face-melting. You can hear it all right here or by downloading it on iTunes, the popular Internet thing.

Yours in show business,
Dave Hill

Me As an Older Asian Woman
15th
Sep

My friend Tony was riding public transportation recently when he snapped the above picture of me, living my life in an alternate universe as an older Asian woman. Where was I going? What was I going to do when I got there? Sometimes I think I’d be happier as an older Asian woman. I mean, don’t get me wrong, this life is pretty good too, but she seems just great.

If you, like me, require food to live and even find yourself enjoying eating and stuff from time to time, I strongly encourage you to check out my friends Julie Beth Tanous and Ted Rosen’s food blog Epicure-All. Julie and Ted are both schooled culinary types and know so much about delicious food it’s actually kind of weird. And they’ve got recipes so good I’m almost tempted to ask my social worker if I might be allowed near a stove again any time soon. Check it out here. Or else.

The great Dick Cavett, legendary talk show host and my personal spirit animal, made an appearance on HuffPost Live recently that you should watch right now and then again immediately after you finish. They don’t make ’em like him anymore. He is the king.
