Smiths/Speed Dating Night, For Real
Do you like the Smiths and/or Morrissey? Do you totally want to meet a special girl or guy? Well, if you answered yes to even one of those questions I just asked, then you should come to this new fun night I am hosting at the Black Rabbit Bar in Greenpoint called “Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now: A Night of Smiths Music and Speed Dating.” I know, I know- it sounds almost too good to be true, but no, really, it’s totally happening for the first time on January 29th at 8pm. There will be speed dating and Smiths and Morrissey music from 8pm to around 9:30pm and then there will be Smiths and Morrissey music the rest of the night. There- I just broke it down for you. I’m going to coat-tail on what “Very Evolved” said… The way you connect to your audience is… Know who you are writing to. You need to pick a Target Audience and stick to them. You wouldn’t write to an audience of 14yr olds the same way you would write to an audience of 60yr olds.

Reading this post reminded me of my brother Henry who says he is studying to become a PUA, or “pickup artist.” LOL. He spends hours every day on internet forums reading and writing about this stuff. I apologize for the possible off-topic. Guys, could you inform me which web hosting company you are using right now I have a problem because my current web hosting company hostrator.com is kicking me off. This is a good overall shoe for walking around or light training. It is by no means a running shoe but it is very comfortable for walking. I ordered them in size “E” and they came in as a “2E”. I called the dealer and was told they are considered an E and that is the way they come. ???? but the fit was o.k. so I kept them.

(There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

I stopped cold turkey over the weekend and it is really beginning to hit me today. My significant other says I won’t get it done but I’m so confident of this I won’t fail. recently I began getting pain in my lower stomach and I truly want to have a smoke. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. You probably won’t be completely finished with them after 8 weeks. I had elastics for a few months before they were discontinued, and then at my next appointment I got more elastics to wear in a different pattern. Just wear them how you were instructed and they will make a big difference to your teeth, when you get to stop with them (: And they’ll get easier to put on and take off too, trust me. That’s the worst part, but once you figure it out you won’t mind them so much.

I use a glass (Pyrex) bowl when I cook eggs in the microwave. It should not take more than 2 min at the MOST to cook an egg in the microwave. As far as your bowl goes, give it a good wash, and nuke for a shorter peirod of time and you should be just fine.

I like to give handmade gifts that capture something that I have in common, or something that I have shared with that person. This is easily achieved by using photos. For example, when my cousin got married I dug up an old picture that I had of him and his fiance at my wedding. I got a plain picture frame, decoupaged it, and gave it to them as their wedding gift. They absolutely adored it! For Mother’s Day I dug up some old photos of my brother and I when we were kids and put together a photo album to give to my mom. And for my parent’s 25th wedding anniversary I managed to sneak into their old wedding album (which was all yellowed and damaged over time) and copied and restored the photos and then recreated their wedding album with scrapbook materials. These turned out to be perfect gifts!

I went to Radio Shack and bought a "bean bag" mount. Basically, it is just a fairly heavy mount on non skid. Attach the suction cup to it and set it up on the dash. I have not had any problems with it moving or shifting while driving. I would recommend you look someplace like Wal-Mart instead, because you could probably find one for a cheaper price. Also, it avoids the tell-tale suction cup markings on the windshield. Apparently, thieves will sometimes break into a car if they see those markings trying to steal your GPS navigator.

As a tech for more than 30 years I have more respect for a person that wants to understand then one who tries to fake it. Believe me I have a few key questions that tips me off to a faker. There are many ways to connect to the work system from home. Ask the IT for recommendations, reason for those recommendations and the plusses and minuses for each. The IT person should be willing to present this as a formal proposal on paper for your study.
