Just as I was about to realize my dream of opening a fish and chips shop on Atlantic Avenue between Hicks and Henry Streets in Brooklyn, someone else has gone ahead and opened a fish and chips shop on Atlantic Avenue between Hicks and Henry Streets in Brooklyn.

Another British culinary subect I can get my teeth into (haha). That is NOT fish and chips. I’m sure by now the shop is closed if that’s what they’re serving up and you may have the chance to do it properly yourself. Look at the name: Fish (not bits of fish) and chips (not measly little french fries). I bet they didn’t even have a takeaway area with wooden or plastic forks, dandelion and burdock and tizer in the fridge, salt and vinegar on the counter and paper to wrap the food in! Foolishly they probably had tables, chairs, cutlery, plates and waiter-service! Really they should have asked us for help.
